sequitur of uncertain status
i plan, thus far anyway, to wait until the 24th to watch it in its official release. although i get a somewhat different impression of the flammability of its contents from you than from gras. and who knows, maybe i'll crack. seventeen days is a long time.

Re: TRIPLE
you're pretty hard to argue with. especially when you break out the caps lock. and the glasses.

i could do without the subtitles. (have any cheese?)

seeing more ben & hurley & pierre & dharma is all good. i would, of course, watch the seventh season, although not enough others would. it's not answers to any of the questions i wanted answered, but i'll take it for what it is.

A good dose of Ben!
It was all in the meta for me: Ben's arch commentary, no Jack whatsoever, where exactly the footage was cut, Connect Four, how lovely to see Walt again (and what a relief! "You're not crazy, far from it!"), etc. It made me fond again of all the things I loved that [I felt] had been sullied by the crap ending. Made me happy.

Re: A good dose of Ben!
i agree & the key being that it all takes place in "the real world"; there needs to be a phantom edit for season 6 & it should be included on the official release, where the entire "purgatory storyline" is cut into its own set of episodes & the real world storyline is cut into its own. and everyone laughs at that crazy desmond gone off the deep end. but you were much closer in time to season 1 & 2 than i had & i'd already moved past any interest in walt. he was just a glaring reminder that the writers were making a lot of it up as they went along and/or changing key concepts and directions midway. (srsly, purgatory? how many times had the fandom been told, no, we're not interested in telling a purgatory story, don't worry.)

I'd toss out the purgatory stuff entirely, meself.

well right, but made optional viewing just for some of the interesting scenes (desmond hitting locke with a car! ben cutting onions!).

i just showed it to my brother (visiting family this weekend). another thumb up.
