observing the powerless, powerless to change it
what i came away with was: i didn't have high expectations, and i know our power play stinks (on ice!) right now, but how does a team not score on a two-man advantage for more than a minute?
(i found an academic paper that analyzed a full season's worth of games and found that 5-3 power plays result in a goal about once every 3 minutes compared to 5-4 being once every 9 minutes.)
